Reviews

We felt the class was so hands on. Was very enjoyable. Loved tasting what we all made. Would highly recommend anyone wanting to do course.

— Phil

Highly enjoyable class, great teachers, super tasty recipes, abundant food and great insight into a proud and successful company. Anyone who loves duck will have fun at these classes. My regret is not clearing my fridge before the class so I could take full advantage of the 10% discount in the shop after the class.

Had been to a demonstration class before – this time was a hands on one. Loved learning how to cook some duck finger food with a glass or two of pinot noir to wash it down. Wendy is a terrific demonstrator and we learnt heaps. We had a living social voucher so made it very good value. Overall a very pleasant experience. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a fabulous, informative and extremely entertaining night. It was very educational and we learnt so much in such a short time. So well structured with five teams of two working along side each other. Our teacher,Wendy and her assistant Ali,we’re so helpful and over the course of 3 hours wehad all created an entrée and main then sat and shared the banquet with some fine wine and good company sharing our experience and discussing the dishes we’d created. Certainly value for money and a lovely venue. Thanks so much!

— Lyn

Great hands-on class with lots of tips and inspiration for cooking with duck. The kitchen is very well equipped and the instructor was friendly and knowledgeable. Recommend.

— Joyce

Thoroughly enjoyed the class and everything that we made, Wendy was once again very informative and giving of her knowledge and time. Absolutely loved the sliders, tarts and pies. Well worth attending and will be doing another class soon.

Luv-A-Duck classes are always fun, delicious and really hands on. You learn how to easily handle duck and prepare fabulous dishes that are very easily recreated at home. It is a very relaxed night with great teachers.

— Marie

What a great morning! Sociable learning environment with easy to learn recipes.Lots of thought gone into this class, with the teachers ready to help.Would highly recommend— this was my third class ( after a couple of years break)very enjoyable eating the food too!

— Greg

We were taught lots of new and delicious finger food recipes. Wendy was an excellent teacher and had so much food to eat a really great night out as well.

— Pat

Highly Recommend! It was great fun learning and eating. Well organised and generous amount of recipes to prepare. Just wished we could of taken some home.

— Kerrilyne

Excellent cooking class. So much food! Absolutely delicious. Great help.
I’m going again definitely.

— Genevieve

The food was delicious and plentiful. My only gripe was that the instructor explained the entire menu before we got into the kitchen, and again afterwards before we started cooking – there was a lot of wasted time! Also the level of assumed general cooking knowledge is low, so be prepared for that if you’re already comfortable in the kitchen.

— Susie

Great class and super passionate presenter. I normally obsess over making everything from scratch and I loved that this class gave me some great cheats to whip some really tasty bites quickly. It was also a great introduction to the wider range of Luv-a-Duck that I wasn’t aware of.

— Sarah

Thanks to Carol and Liz for a fun night with yummy food. I learnt so much and found it very enjoyable.

— Jill

Had so much fun at this cooking class. The teacher was super helpful and patient with us and we ended up cooking a delicious French duck feast!

— Stella

Excellent hands of class again. I have done others classes in the past and they all were very enjoyable and good learning experience. As I was able to watch and learn hands on, it makes it easier to do those recipes at home. Finger food class was great learning experience and I already know, which recipes I will use to and to entertained friend, who has been enjoying my duck dinner parties.

Wendy managed the 6 groups with ease. She was aware of what was happening, and managed to ‘be there’ every time we needed help. She made a very positive contribution to the activities.

My friend and I had a great time at the Duck Finger Food Class – Hands-On on Saturday, 29 June at 11am.
There was more than enough food for everyone to eat with plenty of variety.
The wines which were served throughout the lunch were perfectly matched.
Wendy and Lyn were very friendly and helpful, with plenty of tips.
